My obsession with the science of training and the art of coaching began over a decade ago. I have dedicated my life to that pursuit ever since — first by attaining the highest qualifications, then applying what I learned to elite performers.
Academically, I attained a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (anatomy, physiology, biomechanics) followed by a Master of Sport, Exercise and Health (First Class Honours), both from AUT – ranked in the top 1% globally for sport science. Along the way, I served as a primary researcher on a biomechanics study in the labs at the Sport Performance Research Institute New Zealand.
In practice, I have coached professional footballers, boxers, soldiers, and bodybuilders, alongside everyday people committed to their goals. In 2025, I was appointed Head of Strength & Conditioning at Auckland United Football Club, overseeing the physical performance of over 100 athletes. Furthermore, I was a Strength and Conditioning Practitioner at Athlete Development (AUT Millennium), and been a Personal Trainer since 2016.
I take pride in executing my work to the highest standard, thereby ensuring my clients’ efforts are never wasted. My approach is data-driven, with a first-principles mentality. I inform myself about the people I train as much as possible through pre-screening and needs analyses, followed by physical assessments, which tell me exactly how to train you as effectively as possible. Meaningful progress is hard work; your body needs a reason to adapt. I can only facilitate your success. You need to do the work. So bring the effort, and I will make sure it is not in vain.
