I have been teaching pilates for over a year since having trained and received certification under Polestar Pilates. For me, growing up pilates was my foundation of movement for developing strength, flexibility and stability. Getting into a flow and feeling mind and body connection is so rewarding and helps to clear the mind.
Thanks to my Mat and Comprehensive Studio Certification and incredible mentors (Tam and Jonty), I have also learned so much about movement and principles behind it. Pilates is gentle on the body, yet intrinsic, stimulating so many different muscles and the mind - this I love because you develop a present focus on just the moment itself. I admire and value the foundations behind how Pilates was derived from Joseph Pilates. Joseph believed “Change happens through movements, and movement heals”. I look forward to helping facilitate that experience for others.
